Woman at left of Hoffman is neighbor, Miss Frankie Vanderwal. Detective in felt hat lifting blanket at left is Jack Colburn. 24: Gilbert Hoffman collapses in arms of Frankie Vanderwal and Sgt. Lloyd Neil of Venice Division. Persons in d23/24/25/26 other than Hoffman, Miss Vanderwal, and Sgt. Neil (who is in uniform) are unidentified".
