At left, (may show in pix) are a 25-ton bulldozer and a gasoline truck-trailer, both almost completely buried. 52/53: General view of huge landslide. Slide extends to ocean, completely covering Pacific Coast Highway 101, parking area and portions of beach. Truck remains upended near ocean. Brush still covers top of slide. Scarred cliff at right indicates depth of fall. 59/60: Closeup of scarred cliff which indicates depth of slide. At bottom cracked top of slide. At top of cliff is Via De Las Olas. 57/58 and 52/53: Two sets of pictures to show overall extent of slide. #57 shows forward portion of slide area and # 58 shows back portion. They may be put together to give panoramic view. Same is true of #52 (forward section) and # 53, (back portion). See #52 or #53 caption for description".
