Wild animals brought on ship "Anchorage Victory" from Jakarta, 1952
re an 11-mos-old Sumatran ('King's') tiger, one of several wild animals brought in aboard Amer. Pres. Line's freighter Anchorage Victory from Jakarta, capital of the Indonesian Republic (formerly Java, Sumatra and Madras). C-15: shows First Assistant Engineer E. C. 'Brien of Detroit rough-housing with the tiger, nicknamed 'Rimba' a female, and tame as an alley cat. Other shots are not numbered -- One showing Third Mate W. A. Cafferty of Woonsocket, R.I., at railing, pushing or tugging at the tiger. Other shots are miscellaneous shots of the tiger".
