Supplementary material reads: "Memo for JHCStingle: E.O. Wickizer, 719 Fremont avenue, South Pasadena, is a man well in his 70's who came to SoPasa [sic] in 1910 and started the weekly South Pasadena Record (I used to work for him around 1916. Anyway, Mr. Wickizer, long retired, is now spending all his time making oriental rugs at his home. Having been a country newspaper publisher for many years and being so widely known, I think a picture of him by his machines making rugs would make good art for our Sunday San Gabriel section.
