Dr. John W. Cline, president of the AMA. Sen. Robert Taft arrived in Los Angeles via United Air Lines to speak to an evening meeting of the AMA with Senator Harry F. Byrd (D., Va). The Ohio senator is expected to come out strongly against socialized medicine".
