Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Nichols. Date: 1959-02-22. Assignment: Hiway 101 -- 1/2 mile south of Sunset, Arthur Sinks, 18, rescued from cliff. Arthur Sinks, 18 yrs. old, 30 Dudley Court, Apt. 3, Venice (recently from Detroit, Mich.). Police Office L. Kirkwood takes statement from Sinks. Firemen bring Sinks down long extension ladder from cliff he tried to climb. -- About half way up, discovered he could neither go up nor down."
