Supplementary material reads: "From Joe Micciche (Mitch-e-kay), 501 Hall of Records, MUtual 9211, Ext. 3656. Press instructions for Civic ceremony and reception for Cardinal McIntyre. Thursday, January 22, 1953, Shrine Auditorium. 1. Photogs. will be permitted to take pictures from any of the aisles downstairs or upstairs during the ceremony, but they will be restricted from going on the stage during the program, including the first part of the reception. After the dignitaries have left the stage, Cardinal McIntyre will remain to greet all those who wish to meet him personally. At the point when the people file by to greet him, photographers will be permitted to take whatever pictures they desire. 2. Civic and church dignitaries, who will participate in the procession beginning at 8 p.m., will assemble in a large assembly room off the main lobby at the southwest end of the building at 7:15 p.m. Photographers will be permitted in this room from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. to take pictures, in advance of the ceremony, including those of the Cardinal, together with Governor Warren and Chairman Willard W. Keith. They may also take pictures of these dignitaries as they leave the room and cross the lobby to begin the procession down the center aisle and onto the stage. 3. Press ribbons, which have already been sent you, are not good for seats. Photogs. and reporters will be asked to use their ingenuity to find any empty seats available during the program, if they so desire. 4. Press ribbons are being supplied the working press only. 5. A printed program will be available to reporters and photographers Thursday night at the Shrine, which will list the names of the 100 people to be seated on the stage during the ceremony. 6. Copies of the speeches to be delivered by Gov. Warren, Supervisor John Anson Ford, and Mayor Fletcher Bowron will be made available to the press in advance."
