Baby escapes death under truck, 1951
Supplementary material reads: "Illus. Gershon. City Desk. Under truck. Mrs. Pat Grin holds 13-month-old son Bruce Allen Grin after child was treated for brush burns on back after being knocked to street by ice truck. Photo taken in San Pedro Emergency Hospital. Except for fright and brush burns, Bruce escaped serious injury due to quick action of driver William Reynolds, of Long Beach who heard child cry as he fell to street and quickly applied brakes. He had just started up truck, not noticing Bruce was standing in front of right wheel. In two pix, note brush burns on Bruce's back".
