Child neglect, 1951

Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Glickman. Date: 1951-09-18. Reporter: Glickman. Assignment: Pete Daily and wife questioned about child neglect after fire at their house while they were away. l. to r., 31/32: Fay Daily sobs as juvinille [sic.] officers question her and her jazz trumpet playing husband Pete. They were night clubbing last nite. left their five kids at home and a fire broke out. Later their 13 yr. old daughter was picked up on drunk charges".
