To be Guest of Honor at National Fabrics Features luncheon at Biltmore, 1957
Madison 6-8060. Lorna Anderson of Sacramento, official Miss California entrant in the Miss American Pageant to be held in Atlantic City in September is in town to be guest of honor at the National Fabrics Futures luncheon at the Biltmore on Wednesday, July 31, one of the highlights of National Fabrics week proclaimed recently by Mayor Norris Paulson in recognition of the potential position of Los Angeles as a textile manufacturers center. Miss California will also have fittings during the week of the wardrobe designed and made by California apparel manufacturers which she will wear to the Pageant. A sophomore at Sacremento State College, she is 18, blonde, blue-eyed, is 5'6 1/4" with 35-22 1/2-35 the vital statistics. She was selected from 22 Miss California contestants at Santa Cruz last month where, as one of her awards, she received the cotton wardrobe now being made for her in Flugelman resort fabrics. She is staying at the Town House with her mother and Chaperone, Mrs. Vera Anderson".
