Southern Regional Committee, Columbia University Bicentennial Celebration. Memo to city desks. There will be a press conference held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 9th, in the Cleveland Room (Ballroom level), Statler Hotel, for Dr. Grayson Kirk, President of Columbia University. Dr. Kirk is visiting Los Angeles on that day only to deliver a major address to the Western College Conference meeting. He'll speak on behalf of Columbia's Bicentennial theme, "Man's Right to Knowledge and the Free Use Thereof," and his press conference remarks will undoubtedly deal with this broad subject of freedom of expression and opinion. We will contact you later in the week as to your participation".
